Dr. Ryan McKnight was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. He attended AACAL and Tascosa High Schools before attending West Texas A&M University and graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Animal Science. Dr. McKnight started veterinary school in 2015 at Texas A&M University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. As a senior in high school, Dr. McKnight started his journey at Hope Veterinary Clinic as an intern through the AACAL program. He continued working full-time as a veterinary technician while completing his undergraduate degree at WTAMU.

Dr. McKnight's interests are in small animal/companion animal medicine with a particular interest in Internal Medicine and Surgery. He enjoys taking on challenging medical cases and working hard to provide medical intervention for companion animals.

Dr. McKnight married his wife Emilee in 2013. Their first child, Annaliese, was born in September of 2019. They currently have a Pit Bull, Australian Shepherd, and a Siamese cat. Dr. McKnight's other interest outside of veterinary medicine include outdoor activities such as golfing and fishing. He is an avid sports fan; especially Texas A&M athletics. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family.
